I'm open to work on animation & illustration projects. I've been working in 2D animation productions as a concept and environment/background artist, character designer, storyboarder, and director. I was also the art director of a 12-part series produced by CUB Animation. I wrote, directed and designed an Academy Awards qualifying Animated short as well. I enjoy working with clients on educational content and figuring out ways to communicate information while creating an emotional connection with the audience. I also have lots of experience in dealing with research-heavy historical and non-fiction themes. As an illustrator, I find it most inspiring and wonderful to create content for children, and I enjoy deep, saturated colors, and detailed, magical worlds inhabited by quirky, whimsical characters. Wimmelbooks and detailed puzzle books have a special place in my heart. I won some pretty nice awards for my work, but I got the biggest sense of achievement when a five-year-old comes up to me at a book signing and says that I draw quite well.
